The Teaching of Writing certificate program is tailored for those seeking to strengthen their instructional abilities in writing. This program offers in-depth studies in rhetoric, literacy, composition, and teacher research. Graduates fulfilling the certificate requirements will gain enhanced professional competencies and career prospects. The English Department provides M.A. and Ph.D. programs focusing on literary studies, creative writing, and composition/rhetoric. Bachelor's degree holders can apply for either the M.A. or direct Ph.D. entry, while those with an M.A. or M.F.A. may pursue the Ph.D.
