A quick look at current news demonstrates why we remain among the nation's most impactful programs: We examine pressing matters related to racial dynamics. Students choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Institute for Ethnic Studies for our degree programs and graduate concentrations because we provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education that takes a comparative approach to race and ethnicity, including global roots and relationships. Whether concentrating on African and African American studies, U.S. Latina/o and Latin American studies, or Native American Studies, our students collaborate with distinguished faculty on engaging research and maintain lasting connections with professors during and after their academic journey. They pursue their intellectual interests within a collaborative, dynamic environment that includes thought-provoking seminars, distinguished guest lecturers, and vibrant campus activities.
