The Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics (MEAM) program offers an extensive graduate education for both Master's and Doctoral students, supported by more than 30 faculty members and 140 graduate researchers tackling diverse challenges. The program excels in core disciplines including solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermal systems, mechanical vibrations, material science, production techniques, and engineering design, with applications spanning from medical robotics and rehabilitation technologies to magnetic suspension systems and energy solutions. It also covers advanced areas like additive manufacturing, nanoscale fabrication, biomedical tissue development, high-performance composite materials, material property analysis, non-invasive testing methods, and computational modeling for material enhancement.
