The University of Montana's Clinical Psychology PhD Program focuses on educating psychologists through the scientist-practitioner approach. We believe a research-based comprehension of human behavior is fundamental to education and clinical work, combining this with analytical reasoning as the core of our curriculum. Participants in our program must show continuous improvement in their capacity to evaluate and discuss psychological matters through both spoken and written communication. Our goal is to prepare psychologists who will consistently merge scientific knowledge with practical application in their professional lives. Alumni from our program are equipped to assume diverse positions such as academic researchers, teachers, clinicians, mentors, and organizational leaders.
