The Philosophy, Politics, and Law (PPL, called People) program offers students a chance to explore the philosophical roots, historical development, and real-world application of rights and freedoms in contemporary democratic societies. Participants will develop a thorough comprehension of our legal and political systems - their historical evolution, current operations, ideal functioning, and how individuals can actively engage with them.
Philosophical inquiry examines what makes political authority valid and its regulation of personal conduct, while also requiring insight into actual social and political dynamics. Similarly, understanding political, legal, and social actions becomes more profound when examined through the lens of behavioral principles and theoretical frameworks. Fields like Political Science, philosophy, along with history, sociology, and economics, work together synergistically to deepen our knowledge of governmental and legal structures.
