Grasp the nature of matter through an Engineering Physics degree.
Engineering physics establishes a foundation for comprehending the core principles of forces, particles, and the resulting states of matter that constitute our physical universe. The study of physics enhances quantitative reasoning and problem-solving abilities, which are beneficial beyond the discipline, as students acquire skills to dissect intricate issues, equipping them with a robust quantitative foundation applicable to any technical domain.
The Bachelor of Science in Physics with an Engineering Physics Emphasis is structured to equip students for professional careers in engineering, physics, or applied physics, or for advanced studies in engineering physics or associated disciplines. Additional emphasis options available are: Astrophysics; Biophysics; and General Physics.
Aspiring physics majors are classified as 'pre-physics majors' until they achieve a grade of C- or higher in both Physics 2111 and Physics 2112 (or their equivalents).
