The Engineering Physics program at KU is collaboratively managed by the School of Engineering and the Department of Physics and Astronomy within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Perfect for those passionate about science, mathematics, and engineering, this interdisciplinary program equips students for the challenges of modern society. Participants collaborate with professors from both Physics and Astronomy and the School of Engineering, gaining access to pioneering research opportunities spanning diverse fields—from Automotive technology to Z boson studies. The curriculum leads to a B.S. in Engineering Physics, featuring four specialized tracks: Aerospace Systems, Chemical Systems, Digital Electronic Systems, and Electromechanical Control Systems.
ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission has accredited our undergraduate program, ensuring it meets rigorous quality standards through a comprehensive peer evaluation process.
Admission will be granted to students who meet the following standard:
A minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all previous coursework, including transfer coursework.
English Proficiency:
TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition: 79 (18 minimum subscore)
TOEFL paper-delivered test: 60 (18 minimum subscore)
IELTS: 6.5 (6.0 minimum subscore)
