Alongside the B.S. Ed., undergraduates can pursue a B.A. or B.S. in their field before entering the Graduate School for Master's-level teaching credentials. The College of Education provides an intensive one-year post-graduate certification option called Teach in 12, alongside traditional certification routes. Certification graduate credits may count toward a Master's in Secondary Education with supplementary coursework. Prospective Master's-level certification candidates should reach out to the College of Education's advising office (OASIS) at 314-516-5937. Important: DESE mandates a 3.0 GPA in both discipline-specific and education courses, plus a 2.75 cumulative GPA for certification.
