The Master of Social Work (MSW) develops skilled, principled leaders dedicated to driving social transformation. This program focuses on improving quality of life by addressing societal challenges, valuing diversity, and advancing fairness across economic and social systems through clinical practice and policy development.
Whether you're building on a social work background or transitioning careers, MU offers flexible program choices, specializations, and formats (including a completely online part-time option) tailored to your goals.
The Regular Standing track requires 60 credit hours and is designed for students with undergraduate degrees in fields outside social work.
This path requires at least four full-time semesters to finish. Online and in-person courses cover identical material, with the primary distinction being the instructional format. All MSW online coursework (excluding field placements) is conducted virtually.
