The American Constitutional Democracy certificate acknowledges students who finish twelve (12) credit hours of study at the University of Missouri, focusing on the history, principles, and implementation of constitutional democracy in the United States and worldwide. Unlike the minor program, certificate candidates aren't obligated to participate in study abroad programs, internships, or hands-on learning experiences.
Important: Courses fulfilling major requirements can simultaneously count toward the certificate. However, students cannot earn credit for both the certificate and minor in American Constitutional Democracy, nor can they use transfer credits for the certificate.
Certificate candidates must achieve a B average (3.0 GPA) across all required courses. All academic work must be completed at the University of Missouri.
