The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program equips students with professional training for direct entry into human service roles, advanced studies, and continuous personal development. Social workers at the BSW level help individuals, families, small groups, organizations, and communities address challenges, improve relationships, and thrive in their environments. Graduates find employment across diverse sectors such as healthcare facilities, social service agencies, youth programs, elder care services, rehabilitation centers, shelters, justice systems, educational institutions, and legal aid organizations.
The BSW program is available through two formats: traditional on-campus learning and online study. Applicants should note that each format has distinct requirements, procedures, and guidelines, necessitating consultation with an academic advisor before choosing. Admission to the professional phase requires a separate application, during which students must commit to their preferred study format. Once admitted, students must complete the program in their chosen format, with modality changes only permitted under exceptional circumstances and subject to approval by the undergraduate Program Director, followed by notification to the Office of Student Services.
