The Bachelor of Social Work degree equips students to work professionally with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Upon graduation, students qualify for beginner roles across government, nonprofit, and private social service sectors, including education, criminal justice, child protection, healthcare, and armed forces. LSU's BSW program is pursuing accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education. After achieving full accreditation, BSW graduates may qualify for accelerated one-year Advanced Standing MSW programs.
