This interdisciplinary degree program combines human physiology, nutrition, pathophysiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, biology, sociology/psychology, and related fields to provide comprehensive knowledge about human health and disease factors. The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology program bridges two academic divisions (the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources and the School of Medicine), giving students access to diverse faculty expertise and resources from both units. Graduates of this program will be exceptionally prepared for professional health programs including Medical (both allopathic and osteopathic), Dental, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant programs, or advanced studies in Biomedical/Translational Sciences.
Students can engage in extensive undergraduate research opportunities, including the chance to apply for paid research internships that continue throughout the academic year.
