Sociology explores both continuity and transformation in societal structures by investigating the fundamental dynamics of human interactions within formal organizations, legal systems, and domestic, economic, and political spheres. The curriculum delves into topics such as criminal justice and deviant behavior, psychological well-being, familial bonds and personal connections, educational systems, urban and rural societies, governance and policy development, collective actions and societal evolution, multicultural communities, and social cognition. Faculty research comparing social structures and institutions across nations introduces a global perspective to these fields. Every sociology class prioritizes developing analytical skills for examining social interaction patterns.
