The University of Minnesota's Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies fosters comprehensive exploration of gender and sexuality through diverse lenses including class, ethnicity, nationality, ability, race, and age. Our educational objectives for students encompass: engaging with cross-disciplinary research on gender and sexuality studies, examining how race, gender, class, and sexuality intersect both domestically and internationally, cultivating critical thinking by integrating methodologies from various fields, strengthening research capabilities and creative expression, and formulating innovative perspectives on gender and sexuality that question conventional views and drive societal transformation.
Student are required to have a high school graduation
English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL iBT – 79; IELTS Academic – 6.5; Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic) – 59; Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) C1 Advanced – 180.
Application Deadline for Fall: For freshmen international students the deadlines are November 1 (early action 1 deadline), December 1 (early action 2 deadline) and January 1 (regular deadline)
