Michigan's graduate programs prioritize cultivating analytical skills, evaluative thinking, and the capacity to synthesize information across disciplines. Typically completed in two years (four terms of full-time study), this program leads to a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree - recognized as a STEM field by the U.S. government. STEM designation enables graduates to potentially qualify for a 24-month OPT extension following their standard 12-month post-degree practical training period, allowing for extended professional development in their chosen field.
