Candidates should hold a bachelor's in music (or equivalent) with extensive experience in both solo and ensemble repertoire. The wind & percussion department emphasizes collaborative learning, supported by devoted faculty offering individualized guidance. Within this comprehensive setting, students excel through participation in diverse ensembles spanning multiple genres, while accessing interdisciplinary possibilities at SMTD and throughout U-M. These degree programs also offer K-12 teaching certification.
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in music or its equivalent as well as substantial solo and ensemble repertoire.
