SMTD provides extensive performance possibilities across all disciplines—with hundreds of student showcases annually in our renowned concert venues, theaters, and cozy recital spaces. Musical offerings span from intimate chamber groups to full 90-member orchestras and bands, plus diverse choral arrangements. Whether your interest lies in historical, classical, or modern music—or if jazz, electronic, or global sounds inspire you—there are ensembles (often multiple options) matching every preference, including specialized groups for percussion, piano, and organ & carillon.
