Physics serves as a vital scientific discipline within the liberal arts framework, playing an essential role in the academic pursuits of the University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences. Applied Physics Track: Designed for students pursuing careers in applied physics, this program requires 22 Physics credits along with nine approved Engineering and Computer Science credits. Physics coursework must be at the 200 level or higher, incorporating three laboratory credits. Required courses include PHY 205, 206, 207 (or 205, 210), 208, 209, 340, 350, and 360.
