Physics serves as a vital scientific discipline within the liberal arts framework, playing an essential role in the academic pursuits of the University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences. This curriculum path is designed for students planning to pursue graduate studies in Physics. It requires at least 34 credits in Physics courses numbered 200 or higher, incorporating four laboratory credits along with PHY 205, 206, 207 (or 205, 210), 360, 362, 340, 321, 350, 351, 540, and 560. For the physics minor, students must complete University Physics, two laboratory credits, PHY 360, plus an additional three credits at the 300-level or above.
