The program aims to: (a) develop proficiency in core Earth Sciences principles, concepts, and knowledge; (b) understand environmental impacts from both natural processes and human activities; (c) apply quantitative methods and geographic techniques to analyze and solve spatial problems; (d) evaluate community challenges and formulate logical solutions for urban and land management issues; (e) master written, oral, and visual communication methods. The Earth Sciences Department provides a Bachelor of Arts degree with multiple specialization options at the undergraduate level. This program serves as an excellent foundation for careers in education, government, environmental fields, and scientific research, while also equipping students for advanced graduate studies.
