The Clinical Psychology Master's program spans three years and is designed to fulfill the qualifications for becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. Admissions occur in the fall, with students progressing through the curriculum as a cohesive cohort. This intimate learning environment fosters personalized faculty interaction and significant advancement in both clinical skills and theoretical knowledge. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training, mandating participation in practicums and internships. While covering diverse therapeutic approaches, the curriculum particularly emphasizes behavioral techniques. Students will: acquire applied research experience, cultivate critical problem-solving abilities, explore multiple treatment methods, engage in immersive learning through supervised clinical placements, and meet the educational prerequisites for Massachusetts Mental Health Counselor certification.
