The Cognitive Psychology graduate program provides a specialized track within the department's Master's degree curriculum. Our faculty specialize in diverse fields including memory studies, conceptual learning, analytical reasoning, judgment processes, linguistic cognition, expert performance, and sensory perception. Completing this program equips students with robust qualifications for roles as research assistants in academic and governmental labs, or as cognitive specialists focusing on human factors in corporate settings. Alumni from this program are also well-prepared to pursue PhD studies in cognitive psychology, whether aiming for academic careers in teaching and research or advanced research positions in private or public sectors.

Qualification Requirements
A minimum of 15 undergraduate semester hours (or the equivalent) of psychology courses including: basic statistics and an upper level laboratory course, independent research, or equivalent, emphasizing the experimental method, data collection, statistical analysis, and report writing are required.
Minimum GPA of at least 3.0 in undergraduate courses related to proposed major
English Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to have a command of oral and written English. Those who do not hold a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from the U.S., OR a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from a predetermined country on the waiver list, must meet the minimum language proficiency score requirement in order to be considered for admission.
