The final major declaration deadline isn't until sophomore year's first semester concludes. We guide your major selection process You'll collaborate with faculty and career counselors to chart your professional path. The Career Development Center will help you evaluate your interests while examining different majors and career options. A dedicated advisor will provide personalized guidance throughout your major selection journey. Involvement in student groups can help refine your academic focus. Practical experience is available through internship opportunities. Your first semester features curated foundational courses. These classes fulfill general education requirements while exposing you to multiple disciplines, typically covering essential writing and reading skills along with introductory classes in humanities, social sciences, math, and natural sciences. Social science offerings include psychology, sociology, anthropology, criminal justice, economics, political science, public policy, and gender studies. Humanities coursework spans English, history, philosophy, world literatures and languages, Portuguese studies, art history, and music appreciation.
