Our pre-engineering program will chart your path toward a complete engineering education. Students in our curriculum become thoroughly prepared for rewarding, high-paying careers across diverse engineering disciplines. This pre-engineering track is a rigorous five-year course sequence. You'll spend three years at Ball State before transferring to an engineering school to fulfill your engineering degree requirements. Upon completion, you'll qualify to receive a physics bachelor's degree from our institution alongside your engineering bachelor's degree.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
