This graduate-level certificate program, designed for those with master's degrees, delivers a 12-credit advanced curriculum concentrating on research, policy analysis, leadership development, and evidence-based practices in early childhood education. The program creates an elevated professional trajectory for veteran practitioners in early childhood education.

Classes are scheduled on weekends and utilize a hybrid format, with about 50% of instruction occurring virtually. Participants will enroll in one course per term during fall and spring semesters, finishing the program within two academic years. Successful candidates earn a post-master's certification from the University of Massachusetts Boston upon program completion.

The Early Childhood Admissions Committee will recommend for admissions those applicants who present evidence of their ability to do post masters work with distinction
