The philosophy major offers a thorough grounding in fundamental historical and conceptual aspects of the discipline. This program equips students with valuable critical analysis and scholarly writing abilities, beneficial both for graduate studies and diverse professional paths.
The ethics, social, and political philosophy track, along with the philosophy and public policy concentration, cater to students focused on value-related inquiries affecting individuals, communities, and governance. While these specialized programs offer extensive perspectives on such issues and their potential resolutions, they're typically not designed as direct pathways to graduate philosophy studies. Instead, they provide excellent liberal arts foundations for careers in public administration, legal fields, or community services.
