The School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs grants Young Philosopher Scholarships specifically for first- and second-year undergraduates. Upper-level philosophy students can apply for the Frank Potter Memorial Scholarships, honoring WSU's inaugural philosophy instructor. Program highlights: Our curriculum empowers students to rigorously examine diverse belief systems, question their own foundational values, and hone analytical and communication abilities that are highly valued across all career paths. Philosophy students consistently outperform other majors on standardized entrance exams for law, medicine, business, and graduate programs (including GRE, LSAT, and GMAT). Alumni have pursued legal studies at institutions like Penn State and UVA, while others have entered doctoral programs at Boston College and Canada's Concordia University.
