The Certificate in Statistical and Computational Data Science is a graduate-level, 15-credit program comprising five courses, with coursework drawn from both Statistics and Computer Science disciplines. Participants must complete a minimum of two courses from each department. Both degree-seeking graduate students and non-degree students through Continuing and Professional Education may pursue this certificate, provided they meet all course prerequisites.
This program serves working professionals aiming to strengthen their data science expertise, as well as MS/PhD candidates looking to complement their primary degrees. Computer Science graduate students may alternatively explore the Data Science concentration within their Master's program.
For applicants needing programming fundamentals, we provide COMPSCI 590N: Introduction to Numerical Computing with Python - a one-credit preparatory course covering essential Python skills crucial for data science applications.
