Every year, schools nationwide face a pressing need for math educators, with most states identifying a severe lack of qualified math teachers to the US Department of Education.
Math educators have the power to transform students' perspectives by clarifying mathematical concepts and revealing career possibilities within the field. Mathematical proficiency represents an equity challenge that proper educational approaches can address. Our math endorsement program trains educators to create this impact. We equip future math teachers with essential curriculum knowledge and teaching strategies to effectively enhance student learning in mathematics.
UOTeach provides both advanced and basic math endorsement pathways for those with solid academic backgrounds.

Graduate students will engage in teaching methodology classes led by experienced educators, complete 34 weeks of hands-on practicum in public schools alongside exceptional math faculty and mentors, and cultivate inclusive teaching methods to meet the varied learning requirements of students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
