The Curriculum and Instruction (EDCI) graduate program, part of the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership, provides Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree options. Our department features diverse programs tailored to help students achieve both personal and professional objectives, whether in educational research, teaching, supervision, curriculum leadership, teacher training, or consulting across all academic levels - from elementary through higher education. Certain M.Ed. specializations provide pathways to teacher certification, including options for non-education bachelor's degree holders seeking teaching credentials. We also offer independent M.Ed. tracks for current educators and professionals, along with research-focused master's programs like the M.A. in Teaching & Learning, Policy & Leadership (TLPL).
Those applicants who have earned or will earn a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree from a nationally recognized institution in another country) are eligible to be considered for admission to the Graduate School at the University of Maryland
