The Bachelor of Music (B.M.) program offers undergraduate students a specialized, career-oriented education in music. Students can focus on composition, jazz, piano, strings, theory, voice, or winds and percussion, learning from distinguished faculty while participating in premier ensembles and cutting-edge music history and theory courses. About 60% of the curriculum focuses on music, combining rigorous professional training with an institutional emphasis on diversity, community involvement, and entrepreneurial skills. Graduates leave equipped for creative musical careers or admission to elite graduate programs. Though demanding, students often pair the B.M. with another major—some even complete a Bachelor of Music Education with one additional semester.
