CSUSB's Bachelor of Arts in Music offers comprehensive musical education combined with extensive coursework in humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. The program's core music curriculum establishes fundamental knowledge in music theory, history, ensemble performance, and specialized study (including instrumental/vocal performance, composition, or music technology). General Education requirements complement musical training with exposure to diverse academic fields. The degree also includes flexible electives, enabling students to explore personal interests - with advisor approval, they may even incorporate non-music courses.
