The University of Tulsa's School of Music holds accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). NASM recognizes several degree programs: Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Music in Performance, and Bachelor of Music in Composition. Graduates of the music program will achieve the following outcomes:
Master technical abilities needed for artistic performance in their primary instrument or voice. This includes studying repertoire, sight-reading proficiency, leadership through rehearsal and conducting techniques, keyboard skills, collaborative abilities, and diverse ensemble participation. Integrate musical knowledge and skills through culminating experiences like recitals and teaching practicums during their final undergraduate years. (Synthesis)
