ULV's Digital Media Program equips students with skills for the dynamic media landscape, offering hands-on experience to excel in competitive fields. Students can specialize in either Film and Television or Radio Broadcast and Digital Audio Production.
The Radio and Digital Audio Production track provides comprehensive education for careers in radio, podcasting, entertainment, music streaming, and voice-over work. Learners gain practical experience in our studios and campus radio station, honing their on-air presence, production techniques, and content development abilities. They secure internships at top Southern California radio stations and production houses, with graduates employed by industry leaders like iHeart Radio, Entercom, and Merulo Media. Our alumni network spans prominent stations including KOST, K-EARTH, The WAVE, Power 106, KNX, Fox Sports, and others.
LeoFM, our student-operated station under the Communications Department, broadcasts music and live sports coverage at 107.9 Mhz across campus residences and online. The station and its student DJs have earned accolades from prestigious organizations including the Broadcast Education Association, Society for Professional Journalists, and College Broadcasters, Inc.
