The UK Sculpture program has gained global recognition and is mainly based in the Metal Arts Facility, while also utilizing faculty and resources from across the School. Over the last three decades, numerous BA, BFA, and MFA alumni have established careers as working artists, teachers, sculpture park administrators, and leaders of national sculpture associations. The program's achievements stem from its outstanding faculty, who instruct in a wide variety of media and technical approaches. Students pursuing an art studio major with a sculpture focus engage in a rigorous curriculum designed to develop both their professional and artistic capabilities.

A brief letter stating your goals for graduate study and your interest in being considered for an assistantship, fellowship, and/or internship.
Portfolio
The application for a Master's in Fine Arts (MFA) requires that the applicant upload an electronic portfolio of 20 recent artworks sent as a PDF with an image key with title, date, size, and medium for each submitted work as part of that document. (Maximum resolution 8 x 10 x 72 dpi - NO PowerPoint presentations). Time-based materials on DVD (QuickTime or DVD with menus - 10 minutes max) should be sent to the Graduate Advisor (207 Fine Arts, School of Art & Visual Studies, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40506-0022) by January 6. Web address with same materials, as a back up if the CD/DVD fails, will be considered. This may be uploaded as one document under Writing Sample.
Three letters of recommendation
For the Graduate School, the minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based) 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based). The minimum IELTS score is 6.5
An overall grade point average of 2.75 on undergraduate work and 3.00 on all graduate work is required by the Graduate School.
