The school provides a combined Master of Social Work and Doctor of Philosophy program in social work, designed for students with prior coursework in research and statistics as well as postbaccalaureate experience in social work practice. This dual-degree program allows students to count some credits toward both degrees, shortening the overall time to completion. Applicants must submit separate applications to both the MSW and PhD programs, which are evaluated by each program's admissions committee. Additional details are available through the School of Social Work. Additionally, the School of Social Work collaborates with the School of Planning and Public Affairs to offer a joint Master of Social Work/Master of Science in urban and regional planning.
