The Department of Biology's iBio graduate programs focus on pioneering research and cultivating key skills for effectively publishing and sharing scientific discoveries. Our research spans diverse biological disciplines including cellular biology, developmental studies, ecosystems, evolutionary processes, genetic mechanisms, and neuroscience. The graduate curriculum offers students comprehensive training across these fundamental fields.
Upon admission, each graduate student receives a provisional advisor to collaboratively assess academic history and design an initial semester plan prior to enrollment. The flexible programs enable students to customize their coursework according to individual research goals. Some students may receive recommendations for specialized courses to strengthen their expertise in particular subjects.
