The Master of Urban Planning (MUP) program equips students to excel as professionals and leaders in urban planning through comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. This program also serves as a foundation for pursuing a Ph.D. in planning or securing advanced research roles. Community development originated as a bottom-up approach to enhance living standards in underserved areas by fostering empowerment, skill development, and local wealth creation. This field encompasses various efforts including neighborhood planning committees, self-sufficiency initiatives, social campaigns, inclusive planning methods, and fairness-focused advocacy. Central to community development are local organizations, activist groups, labor unions, service providers, banks, corporations, government bodies, charitable organizations, advisors, and educational institutions working collaboratively.
