The Division of Nutritional Sciences serves as the interdisciplinary hub for graduate nutrition studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Over 60 faculty members from 15 departments across seven colleges on both the Urbana and Chicago campuses participate in the Division. This comprehensive program offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, which can be pursued independently or combined with M.D., M.P.H. degrees, or dietetics registration (R.D.). Students benefit from adaptable graduate curricula that allow for personalized academic paths and professional development. The Division also provides wide-ranging research opportunities spanning genomic and proteomic investigations to clinical trials and population-based studies. Faculty and student research focuses on six primary thematic areas that represent the Division's nationally and internationally recognized expertise in nutrition science.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the program requires a bachelor's (or equivalent degree) and evidence of intellectual achievement and potential for successful graduate study. Applicants must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (A=4.0) for the last 2 years of coursework (undergraduate and graduate courses).
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required. Non-Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. (Official transcripts will be required at time of admission)
Letters of Recommendation: Three (3) supporting letters of recommendation must be received before the application can receive full consideration for admission.
