The Agricultural Education Graduate Program equips students to become professional educators and leaders in agriculture-related careers. Our alumni work as high school and college instructors, extension experts, program directors, entrepreneurs, agricultural industry managers, and community advocates. The curriculum is tailored to train individuals for roles in teaching and mentoring diverse groups, including students, working professionals, volunteers, and community residents. Alongside our on-campus offerings, we provide one of the nation's few fully online, real-time programs. The M.S. in Agricultural Education is a career-focused degree designed to prepare educators and development specialists for challenges in teaching and learning within agricultural, life, and environmental sciences. Many students pursue this degree to advance in Extension services, secondary agricultural education, organizational training positions, or community improvement initiatives. Additionally, we assist those seeking Illinois teaching certification for agricultural education in grades 9-12.
