The Aerospace Engineering program establishes a solid foundation in engineering, mathematics, and science fundamentals, combined with the skills to apply this knowledge to designing and analyzing next-generation aircraft and spacecraft. It also equips students for continuous professional development and achieving their career objectives within aerospace engineering and various other disciplines. System design principles are introduced early in the program and culminate in the yearlong senior capstone design sequence (AE 442, AE 443), where student teams address real-world design challenges from industry, government, or engineering organizations. Through technical and free electives, students can customize their educational path according to individual interests.
