Combine engineering concepts with living systems. Biological Engineering equips you to address technological challenges related to human health, microbes, plants, and animals.
Upon graduation, you will use your technical skills to tackle engineering issues by creating components, processes, and systems. You will communicate and collaborate effectively in teams, with a solid foundation in inorganic/organic chemistry, biochemistry, biological/biomedical science, and environmental science. Graduates will be capable of applying their learning in diverse contexts to adapt to a constantly evolving world.
Due to the broad scope of biological engineering, you can pursue roles with consulting and industrial companies in areas such as bioprocessing, bioenergy, environmental sectors, food production, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and biomedicine. This wide-ranging knowledge makes biological engineers highly valuable in today's complex global landscape.
