The History Department provides Master of Arts programs covering United States, European, Latin American, Ancient, Modern Arab/Middle Eastern, Transnational, and Public History across all time periods. Additionally, students can take classes in African, Asian, Modern Arab/Middle Eastern, and World history. The Public History Thesis Track caters to those aiming for careers in various public history fields. While most Plan III students complete the M.A. as their final degree, others may continue to doctoral studies. The program mandates thirty (30) graduate-level credit hours (6000-level courses), incorporating coursework, six (6) internship hours in Public History, and six (6) thesis credits. Proficiency in a foreign language is also required.
