Medical imaging, which involves generating visual depictions of internal body structures and functions for clinical evaluation and treatment purposes, is a key research focus for our faculty. They are pioneering innovative imaging techniques to identify and diagnose illnesses. Our researchers are conducting cutting-edge studies utilizing functional tissue imaging (via Optical Coherence Tomography), protein detection systems (employing nanooptical technology), and cancer detection methods using PET scans, SPECT imaging, and digital x-ray tomosynthesis (DT).
