Doctoral candidates must choose a minor subject outside their primary field of study. Both Ph.D. and Master's programs mandate the completion and defense of a thesis or dissertation. Graduate students in Biological and Environmental Engineering will receive support to grow as exceptional researchers and principled scholars. Our collaborative approach aims to enhance your existing strengths while cultivating new capabilities, enabling you to produce groundbreaking work in the discipline. Additionally, you'll be encouraged to extend your research's influence through community engagement and public outreach initiatives.
Applicants to the Ph.D. program must have a baccalaureate degree (bachelor's degree) in an area of engineering, physical science, or biological science with a strong preparation in mathematics and physics. Deficiencies in undergraduate training must be made up early in the advanced degree program.
