Our program stands out as one of the premier options globally for advanced graduate studies in the religions of South Asia, China, Japan, Hawaii, and the Pacific region. As an M.A. candidate, you'll collaborate directly with field specialists while developing expertise in religious studies, particular traditions, and relevant language skills. Your academic journey culminates with either a conventional thesis (Plan A) or an innovative project (Plan B), both involving original research guided by faculty mentors.
