Accordingly, the Master of Arts in Music with a musicology specialization offers an up-to-date, thorough curriculum that honors the field's historical roots while exploring contemporary developments.
Our musicology professors are dedicated to introducing students to diverse historical musicology methodologies. Their specialized knowledge spans from European medieval music theory to Hollywood film scores, providing students with a broad analytical framework. The program actively promotes integrating ethnomusicological perspectives, supported by our department's outstanding ethnomusicology faculty and resources.
