Our institution provides undergraduate and graduate degree programs in studio art and art history, offering BA degrees in both disciplines, along with BFA and MFA options in studio art, and an MA in art history. The BFA and MFA programs feature specialized tracks in ceramics, drawing/painting, glasswork, graphic design, print media (including digital imaging, photography, and printmaking), and expanded sculpture practices. The MA in Art History allows students to focus on Chinese, Japanese, Pacific, South/Southeast Asian art, or Modern/Contemporary art.
The BA in Studio Art delivers a comprehensive liberal arts education across diverse media, drawing from multiple departmental disciplines. This program mandates 42 credits: 12 credits in foundational Studio and Art History courses (Art 113, 116, 175, and 176), 6 credits in advanced Art History, and 24 Studio credits with at least 12 at the upper-division level.
