For those passionate about influencing environmental policy, tackling sustainability concerns, and confronting ecological challenges, our interdisciplinary environmental studies program offers an excellent opportunity. The BA in environmental studies features two specialization tracks: one emphasizing environmental policy and the other focusing on environmental communication. Both pathways allow students to collaborate with our distinguished faculty across diverse academic disciplines.

This program cultivates versatile, interdisciplinary competencies to equip students for solving environmental problems through policy development and communication approaches. At UHart, students can engage in faculty-led research and secure valuable internships, paving the way for meaningful careers in sustainability and environmental work across corporate, governmental, and nonprofit sectors.
